Achilles tendon rupture is a severe injury that affects the tendon that connects the calf muscles to the heel bone. It commonly occurs following jumping or sudden movementsespecially in active men.
Symptom: A "kick" sensation in the calf, sudden pain, lack of plantar flexion and the inability to stand on your toes.
Treatment: Can be Conservative (equine immobilization) or surgical (tendon suture). Next rigorous functional recovery.
