Scapulohumeral dislocations are produced by fall or direct trauma on the shoulder, usually with the arm in abduction and external rotation. These are the most common joint dislocations.

Symptom: Intense pain, deformity of the shoulder contour, total movement restriction and fixed arm position.

Treatment: Orthopedic reduction immediately followed by immobilization and recover. Recurrent dislocations may require stabilization surgery.
