Orthopedics > Conditions treated > Rotator cuff tendon calcifications
Rotator cuff tendon calcifications are deposits of calcium salts in the structure of one or more tendons of the shoulder, most commonly in the supraspinatus tendon. These deposits can cause inflammation local and movement limitation.
Symptoms include severe pain, especially at night or when lifting the arm, reduced mobility and weakness.
Treatment can be Conservative (anti-inflammatory medication, physiotherapy, infiltrations) or interventional - eco-hydrate or arthroscopy to remove deposits.
