Pertrochanteric fractures are located between the femoral neck and the femoral diaphysis. They commonly occur in older peopleby minor falls, against a background of osteoporosis.
Symptom: Severe pain in the hip, inability to support, shortening and external rotation of the lower limb.
Treatment: It is treated surgically by osteosynthesis with rods or partial denture, followed by early mobilization and functional recovery.
