Patellar instabilities occur as a result of a traumatic sprains of the patella. It is characterized by displacement of the patella in relation to the femoral trochlea.

Symptom: Pain, joint locking, edem and feeling unsteady when walking.

Treatment: Originally Conservative with orthotics and physical therapy. As needed, surgical stabilization patella.
