Osteochondritis dissecans of the talus is a lesion of cartilage and subchondral bone slope, caused by repeated trauma or chronic microtrauma.
Symptom: Deep pain in the ankle, swell, feeling unsteadysometimes joint blockages or noises.
Treatment: Conservative in mild stages. Surgical (arthroscopy, microfractures, osteochondral grafts) in unstable or symptomatic cases.
