Clavicle fracture is a break in the bone connecting the sternum to the shoulder. It is one of the most common fractures, occurring mainly as a result of direct trauma to the shoulder or a fall on an outstretched arm.
Symptom: Severe pain in the shoulder or collarbone, visible deformation, limiting arm movements, local swelling or bruising. Diagnosis is established by clinical examination and imaging investigations (X-ray, MRI).
Treatment: Depending on the type of fracture, treatment can be Conservative (with immobilization in a special "figure 8" bandage) or surgicalin unstable or significantly displaced cases. Recovery involves physiotherapy to regain mobility and full functional recovery.
