Aseptic osteonecrosis (bone vascular necrosis) is bone damage caused by disruption of vascularizationwithout infection. It particularly affects children and adolescents, but can also occur in adults.
Symptom: Progressive pain, limitation of joint function, exertional difficulties. Radiologically, areas of osteolysis and bone collapse.
Treatment: Repaus, functional orthopaedics, discharge therapy. In severe cases - orthopaedic surgery.
