This device is similar in function to the traditional pacemaker, but differs in how it is implanted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traditionally pac pac pacemakers involve implanting thin, flexible leads inside the heart that are connected to the pulse generator, placed under the skin in the chest area. These leads transmit electrical impulses to regulate the heart rhythm when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of the leadless pacemaker the device itself is much smaller and does not require the use of a lead.
